Khosla Ventures was founded in 2004 by Vinod Khosla and is headquartered in Menlo Park, California. The firm reports having more than $15 billion in assets under management and invests across a range of industries. These include financial services, semiconductors, robotics, big data, and agriculture. As of 2015, the firm was also one of the largest investors in the space sector. Khosla also founded Khosla Labs, a business incubator.
Khosla Ventures invests in companies across all stages and has a portfolio of more than 500 companies. In 2021, the firm filed plans to raise $1.2 billion across three "blank check" SPACs with the intention of taking three private companies public. A number of Khosla's portfolio companies have gone public through a traditional IPO, including DoorDash, Okta, Upstart, and Block.
