As reported in October 2008, Habbo attracts over 2 million monthly unique visitors in the US and achieves impressive time-on-site of over 40 minutes per user.

While many features of Habbo Hotel are free, other virtual items are sold to users by exchanging Habbo Coins. Habbo gift cards are available at retailers, like Target and CVS, so real cash transactions can be made offline and redeemed for Coins online. The company also sells advertising within the virtual world, including branded rooms and games. Silicon Alley Insider estimated that Habbo posted $75 million in revenue in 2007.

Habbo has reportedly raised $30 million in funding from Movida Group, Taivas Group, 3i Group, Elisa Group, and Benchmark Capital.
