Digg provides functionality to publishers, like Yahoo.com, CNN.com, and ESPN.com among countless others, that allows users of those sites to submit stories or content to Digg. There is also a Firefox extension that allows users to submit stories or see if a story has already been submitted.
Digg has reportedly received $40 million in funding from Highland Capital Partners, Greylock, and others.
